The Interview Movie Quotes
“The Interview” movie quotes follow the story of two tabloid TV show folks attempt to assassinate North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. The action-comedy was directed by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen using a screenplay the two co-wrote with James Weaver. Despite the controversy surrounding the film, “The Interview” opened on December 25, 2014.

In “The Interview,” Dave Skylark (James Franco) stars on a popular but not exactly highly regarded tabloid television show, Skylark Tonight. So when he and show producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) learn that Kim Jong-un (Randall Park), the ruthless dictator of North Korea, is a fan of the show and wants to appear on the program, they see an opportunity to gain some legitimacy in the industry.

But just before they head to North Korea, Agent Lacey (Lizzy Caplan) from the CIA intercepts them and asks them to assassinate Kim during their trip. They agree to the task, train for it and head overseas but it doesn’t take long for them to realize that they are definitely not suited for this line of work.

“The Interview” hits theaters alongside other late 2014 films such as ”The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” ”Annie,” ”Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb,” ”Mr. Turner,” "Life Partners," "Comet," "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1," "Horrible Bosses 2, "Penguins of Madagascar," "Dumb and Dumber To," "Foxcatcher," "Beyond the Lights," "The Homesman," "Interstellar," "The Theory of Everything," "Nightcrawler," "Big Hero 6," "Before I Go to Sleep," and "Horns.”

He Can Speak to Dolphins
Agent Lacey: “You are entering into the most dangerous country on earth. Kim Jong-un’s people believe anything he tells them including that he can speak to dolphins or he doesn’t urinate and defecate.”
David Skylark: “Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, you’re telling me my man doesn’t pee or poop?”
Aaron Rapoport: “Everybody pees and poops. Where would it go otherwise? He’d explode.”
David Skylark: “But he does talk to dolphins?”
Agent Lacey: [sighs]

Agent Lacey tries to brief Dave and Aaron on what they can expect in North Korea. What actually happens, however, is that she realizes she might just be dealing with a couple of idiots.
I Love You
David Skylark: “As the two best friends stared each other in the eyes, they knew that this might be the end of the long road. But even though that neither one could say it out loud, they were both thinking…”
David Skylark and Aaron Rapoport: [whispers together] “I love you.”

In a moment of clarity and seriousness, David and Aaron take time to point out how this mission might just kill them. They exchange their ‘I love yous’ and head out to kill Kim Jong-un.
It's Pronounced Stallone
David Skylark: “Holy f***amole! A tank!”
Kim Jong-un: “It was a gift from my grandfather from Stalin.”
David Skylark: “In my country it’s pronounced Stallone.”

When Kim Jong-un explains the background on the tank he shows Dave, Dave doesn’t quite have the world history knowledge to understand. Embarrassingly, he attempts to correct Kim.
Kim Jong-un Wants to Do an Interview
Aaron Rapoport: “Kim Jong-un wants to do an interview with Dave Skylark?”
David Skylark: “He’s a fan!”
Aaron Rapoport: “He’s the most reclusive leader on the planet!”
David Skylark: “We do this, everyone is going to take us super duper seriously!”
Aaron Rapoport: “Okay”
David Skylark: “We’re going to North Korea!”

Aaron and Dave get the news that Kim Jong-un watches their tabloid TV news show and wants to appear on the program. As crazy as that sounds, as David points out, it will give their show some legitimacy, especially when no one takes them seriously.
It's a Date
David Skylark: “Want to go kill Kim Jong-un?”
Aaron Rapoport: “Totally! I’d love to assassinate Kim Jonh-un. It’s a date!”

Like kids playing with toys on Christmas morning, Dave and Aaron play with their CIA toys, especially their wireless watch radios. For folks about to try to kill a ruthless dictator, they sure are not intimidated by the task ahead.
The American Way
David Skylark: “Kim must die! That’s the American way.”
Sook: “How many times can the US make the same mistake?”
David Skylark: “As many times as it takes!”

When Dave makes his mission, to kill Kim Jong-un, known, Sook points out that the Americans don’t exactly have a great track record with assassinating foreign leaders.
Living a Lie
Rob Lowe: “You know, people say that actors lie for a living but this is living a lie.”
David Skylark: “Okay, Rob, when you’re ready.”
Aaron Rapoport: “Get ready, camera two.”
Male Producer: “Oh, jesus!”
David Skylark: “Whoa!”
Female Producer: “His head looks like somebody’s taint.”
David Skylark: “You barely look different!”
Rob Lowe: “Thanks, Dave!”

Dave interviews actor Rob Lowe for his tabloid news show. While Dave keeps a straight face when Lowe unveils his balding head, the rest of the crew mock him from backstage.
Take Him Out
Agent Lacey: “Mr. Rapoport, I am Agent Lacey with Central Intelligence. You two are going to be in a room alone with Kim and the CIA would love it if you two could take him out.”
David Skylark: “Hmm?”
Agent Lacey: “Take him out.”
Aaron Rapoport: “For coffee?”
David Skylark: “Dinner?”
Aaron Rapoport: “For kimchi?”
Agent Lacey: “No, uh, take him out.”
Aaron Rapoport: “You want us to kill the leader of North Korea?”
Agent Lacey: “Yes”
David Skylark: “What?!”

Aaron and Dave are approached by the CIA and asked to ‘take out’ Kim Jong-un. When they realizes that they don’t mean for coffee or dinner, Dave and Aaron are shocked.
A Gift for You
Kim Jong-un: “Dave! I have a gift for you!”
David Skylark: “Oh! Oh! Oh! This dog is killing me with it’s cuteness!”
Kim Jong-un: “It’s crazy cute!”

Dave receives a gift from Kim Jong-un, a cute little puppy. For someone who is described as so ruthless, this gesture goes a long way to Dave.
Zero Percent Chance of This Working
Agent Lacey: “You are going to administer a fatal dose of poison. It is critical that you operate with extreme caution… There’s a zero percent chance of this working.”

Agent Lacey puts Dave and Aaron through some brief training before the pair heads out to North Korea. The CIA has a plan that could work but if Dave can pull it off or not is the question.
