“The Loft” movie quotes bring the thrills as five men must figure out who murdered a woman in their shared loft. The film, which is a remake of the 2008 Belgian film “Loft,” was written by Bart De Pauw and Wesley Strick, and directed by Erik Van Looy. After several distribution changes, “The Loft” opened in theaters on January 30, 2015.
In “The Loft,” five married men, Vincent (Karl Urban), Chris (James Marsden), Luke (Wentworth Miller), Marty (Eric Stonestreet) and Philip (Matthias Schoenaerts), share a downtown loft which each use to live out their deepest fantasies with women other than their wives. It all goes well until one day when Luke enters the loft to find a dead blonde woman in the bed.
The five men scramble to try to react to the situation knowing full well that if they call the police about the murder, their extramarital affairs will become known to their families. So they first try to solve the case themselves and determine that either one of their five is responsible or they are being framed, the latter theory which is strengthened when they receive random messages from a second blonde woman who seems to know their secrets.
“The Loft” helps close out the January 2015 movie slate which also featured films such as ”Black or White,” ”Project Almanac,” ”Mortdecai,” ”The Boy Next Door,” ”Black Sea,” ”Strange Magic,” ”Still Alice,” ”The Wedding Ringer,” ”Blackhat,” ”Taken 3,” ”Predestination,” ”A Most Violent Year,” ”The Interview,” ”Unbroken,” ”American Sniper,” ”Into the Woods,” ”Big Eyes,” ”The Gambler,” ”The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” and ”Annie.”

There's a Dead Woman Here
Luke: “What the hell happened? This can’t be real.”
Vincent: “Do you know who she is?”
Luke: “Of course not”
Chris: “We gotta call the cops!”
Vincent: “Think about our wives!”
Chris: “There’s a dead woman here, Vincent.”
Luke is startled to enter the loft to see a woman dead. The other men arrive and begin to scramble on how to play this. While someone is dead, going to the police will lead them all into a bunch of trouble.
Fate Will Unite Us
Luke: “What does it mean?”
Chris: “Fate will unite us”
The guys discover a cryptic message written in blood next to the dead woman in their loft. It translates to fate will unite us, which only confuses them more.
Welcome to the Loft
Vincent: “Gentlemen, there’s something I want to show you. Welcome to the loft. It’s our own private oasis. Think about it. No messy hotel bills. No questionable credit card activity.”
Chris: “I don’t know. I’m not like that.”
Vincent: “Accepting a key to the loft means you accept the rules to the loft. Tell nobody. Have fun.”
Vincent invites his four closest friends into a loft with an opportunity. They can all share ownership of the residence and secretly use it for their trysts, as long as they keep it secret and enjoy it.
It's Not Over
Vincent: “It’s not over. We will find out what happened here and we will figure a way out.”
Vincent vows to get to the bottom of what is going on. Together, they will find a way out of this mess and find who is truly responsible for the murder.
If All the People Who Have Been Hurt Find Out the Truth
Luke: “If all the people who have been hurt find out the truth, what do you think will happen?”
Luke warns the men against telling their loved ones the truth about what was going on in the loft. They must decide which is the worser evil, telling their wives of their affairs or potentially going down for murder.
Someone is Trying to Frame Us
Philip: “Someone is trying to frame us.”
Vincent: “Who?”
Philip: “I don’t know, a rejected girlfriend, a jealous boyfriend, someone with a motive.”
With each of the men pleading their innocence, the men conclude that they’re being framed for this murder. Who is behind the crime, however, and for why is still unknown.
One of Our Keys
Luke: “The door was locked. The alarm was turned off. Someone got it in with one of our keys.”
A little detective work leads the men to believe that one of the five of them sharing the loft was involved in the murder. This makes them all suspects and all suspicious of one another.
Are You Keeping Secrets?
Anne: “Are you keeping secrets?”
…
Vincent: “Who is she?”
Luke: “Do we know her?”
Immediately after discovering the body, the men receive a phone call from the lobby from a mysterious blonde woman. It’s clear that she knows their secrets and is threatening to expose them but who is she and why is she after them?
