The Gunman Movie Quotes
The Gunman movie quotes follow what happens when one gun for hire tries to retire to spend time with his love. The action thriller was directed by Pierre Morel using a screenplay Don Macpherson and Pete Travis adapted from the novel The Prone Gunman by Jean-Patrick Manchette. The Gunman opened in theaters on March 20, 2015.

In The Gunman, Jim Terrier (Sean Penn) works as an international operative for an organization, a position that requires him, more often than not, to kill for a living. Jim wants nothing more than to retire from this position and settle down with his longtime love, Annie (Jasmine Trinca). But when he brings up this end to his employer, including Felix (Javier Bardem), he's told that there is much more work to be done.

So Jim revolts and threatens Felix with records of the crimes they've committed over the years in a hope that this will lead to their separation. Instead, this sets off a war between the two sides with Felix and company taking Annie hostage. With the stakes now extremely high, Jim must fight for his freedom and the live of his love.

The Gunman opens alongside a handful of high-profile films including Insurgent, Cinderella (2015), Run All Night, Unfinished Business.

Murphy's Law
DuPont: Need a light? Mind if I sit down? I think I might have one with you. You ever have one of those days when every law is Murphy's Law? Everything's going wrong and everyone wants to kill you for something. Got some heavy s*** going on up there today.
Jim: Is that right?

The Ones Who Aren't After You
Cox: You always worry too much, Jim. The past is the past, my friend. Keep your eyes open, my friend. It's the ones who aren't after you that do you in the end.

Cox provides Jim with some wise advice. While he tells Jim not to worry, he does remind Jim that it's often the unexpected threat that will hurt you the most.
Will You Work Late?
Annie: Do you have to go to work today?
Jim: I've got to grab some stuff then go out to the site.
Annie: Will you work late?
Jim: I'm hoping now.
Annie: What are you doing over there?

Jim wants nothing more than to quit his job and stay home with love Annie, who doesn't quite know what Jim does for a living. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem like it's in the cards at the moment.
We Thought We Were Helping

It Never Happened
