Goosebumps movie quotes bring the best-selling children's books with the same name to life in a feature film. Based on the series by R.L. Stine, the film was directed by Rob Letterman using a screenplay Darren Lemke penned using a story by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. Goosebumps opened in theaters on October 16, 2015.
In Goosebumps, teen Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) and his mother, Gale (Amy Ryan), move to the small town of Madison, Delaware, where Gale is the new vice principal at the local high school. Zach soon meets the girl next door, Hannah (Odeya Rush), and her unfriendly father, R.L. Stine (Jack Black). So when Zach hears Hannah scream, he gathers his buddy Champ (Ryan Lee) and the two head to the Stine house to investigate.
In R.L. Stine's house, Zach and Champ discover a bunch of Goosebumps manuscripts with locks on them. When they unlock one, they are surprised to see a giant yeti pop up out of it. A bad situation only gets worse when Hannah and R.L. Stine arrive to inform them that all of the Goosebumps monsters are now unleashed and unless they act fast to suck the beasts back into the books, they are all doomed. The unlikely heroes must work together to save themselves and others from assured destruction.
Goosebumps opened alongside other great fall 2015 movies such as The Martian, The Walk, The Intern and Hotel Transylvania 2.

You Just Released Every Monster
Champ: The Abominable Snowman just crawled out of a book! That doesn't just happen!
R.L. Stine: You just released every monster I've ever created!
Champ: What was that?
R.L. Stine: It's the Invisible Boy.
Champ: Ow!
R.L. Stine: Ah, he's such a crack up.
While Champ is in disbelief that an abominable snowman just crawled out of a book, R.L. Stine explains that all of the monsters he created in his books have now come to life. Luckily, some, like the Invisible Boy, are more annoying than actually dangerous.
Suck Them Back Into the Books
Hannah: The only way to stop them is to suck them back into the books.
Zach Cooper: You've read them all, right?
Champ: Yeah, yeah
Zach Cooper: If we know their weaknesses, we can capture them all.
Hannah: We're the only ones who can do this!
Hannah, Zach, Champ and R.L. Stine set off on a mission to suck all of the monsters back into the books, where they belong. Despite knowing their weaknesses, the task ahead is still a difficult one.
Every Story Every Told
R.L. Stine: Hello, My name is Mr. R.L. Stine. Every story ever told can be broken down into three parts: The beginning, the middle, and the twist.
Working as an English teacher at the local high school, R.L. Stine hooks his students by telling them about the anatomy of a story. Little do they know, they're about to be learned by one of the most famous writers in the business.
Maybe They're Friendly
Zach Cooper: Gnomes? Maybe they're friendly... Not friendly! Definitely not friendly!
The team comes upon a swarm of gnomes in a kitchen. Thinking that tiny little gnomes certainly couldn't be threatening, Zach tries to approach them. He soon regrets that decision.
We Cannot Let the Monsters Inside
Zach Cooper: Alright, everyone, find anything you can to barricade the doors.
Hannah: We cannot let the monsters inside.
To point out the obvious, Zach and R.L. Stine inform the others that they must barricade the doors to keep the monsters outside. And in other news, water is wet.
Why Are These Books Locked?
Champ: Whoa! The Abominable Snowman of Pasadena, these are all Goosebumps manuscripts. Why are these books locked?
...
Hannah: Did you unlock a book?
R.L. Stine: Oh, no!
Zach Cooper: I'm sorry. I'll put it back where it belongs. Look, here it is.
Hannah: No, don't open it! ... Nobody make a sound!
Champ: Ahhhhhh!
Champ and Zach come upon a bunch of locked Goosebumps manuscripts, one of which they soon unlock. This is a bad idea, though, as Hannah and R.L. Stine soon tell them, as it has unleashed the monster within.
We're Just Moving In
Zach Cooper: Mom, are you positive there weren't any other places looking for vice principals?
Gale Cooper: You promise you'll give it a shot?
Zach Cooper: I promise, and I looked into it. Legally, I can't live on my own until I'm 18.
...
Zach Cooper: Yeah, I'm Zach, by the way.
Hannah: I'm Hannah.
R.L. Stine: Hannah, get away from the window. Now!
Hannah: I gotta go.
Zach Cooper: Hi! Hey, we're just moving in.
R.L. Stine: You see that fence?
Zach Cooper: Uh, yes
R.L. Stine: Stay on your side of it!
...
Zach Cooper: He's a big teddy bear.
Hannah: Don't take it personally. He doesn't really like anyone.
When Zach and his mother, Gale, arrive in Madison, Delaware, Zach has some mixed feelings on the new city. He does, however, meet a pretty girl his age right next door, but also, unfortunately, meets her unfriendly father.
Hannah's In Trouble
Zach Cooper: Hannah's in trouble!
Gale Cooper: Oooh, who's Hannah?
...
Zach Cooper: She's locked in this house and her dad's a psychopath.
Champ: Does she have a friend?
When Zach hears neighbor Hannah scream, he springs into action to help. With the help of his buddy Champ, the venture into the house next door to investigate the situation.
