Green Room movie quotes tell the story of a punk rock band that finds themselves fighting for survival against some dangerous white supremacists. The horror thriller was written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier. After appearing at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, Green Room opened theatrically on April 29, 2016.
In Green Room, the punk rock band The Ain't Rights including bassist Pat (Anton Yelchin), guitarist Sam (Alia Shawkat), drummer Reece (Joe Cole) and vocalist Tiger (Callum Turner) are finishing an unsuccessful concert tour when they find themselves in need of some cash to get back home to Washington, DC. Stuck in Oregon, they meet a fellow punk rock fan (Cody Burns) who says he can hook them up with a "solid gig." The band agrees and arrives to play the show but things don't go quite as planned.
The band witnesses the murder of a girl, as does the girl's friend Amber (Imogen Poots), at the concert venue in the backwoods of Oregon. Amber and the band are shoved into a green room and held there by a bunch of irrational white supremacists (including Mark Webber and Eric Edelstein). Led by Darcy Banker (Patrick Stewart), the supremacists hold Amber and the band members in the club, a situation that only ends with a lot of blood and violence.
Green Room opened in theaters already showing other films including Criminal, Barbershop: The Next Cut, The Jungle Book, and Demolition.
Green Room Movie Quotes,
Maybe She's Not Dead
Sam: Maybe she's not dead. There's not a lot of blood.
Sam tries to reason with the white supremacists and suggest that they didn't witness a murder after all as maybe the girl isn't dead. The plan, while a good one, doesn't exactly work out the way Sam would like.
This Will All Be Over Soon
Darcy Banker: This will all be over soon, gentlemen.
While Darcy seems to comfort the band members when they are locked in a green room after witnessing a murder, really he has no intention of letting them leave alive. He wants them to feel comfortable, safe, so they have less desire to flee.
Let Him Bleed
Darcy Banker: He breathing? Let him bleed.
Knowing that one of the band members is injured, but not quite dead, Darcy orders his men to let the boy suffer, bleed out slowly, rather than kill him quickly. Of all the ways one could die, this is up there with the most painful and cruel.
We Sit and We Wait
Pat: There's been a stabbing!
Daniel: In the room, go!
Big Justin: Cops are on the way.
Sam: We haven't done anything.
Amber: It doesn't matter.
Big Justin: We sit and we wait.
Amber: And we die?
Big Justin: Not if you sit and you wait.
Right after the band witnesses a murder, they are shoved into a green room by Big Justin. They don't understand what's happening, including why Big Justin insists they stay in that room or face certain death.
I Can Get You Guys a Solid Gig
Punk Rocker: All right, I can get you guys a solid gig, a matinee tomorrow, doors at one. You guys are on at three.
Stranded in the middle of nowhere, the band gets some help from a local punk rocker. He books them a gig so they can have money to travel home, but little do they know, this is no normal concert by any means.
We Gotta Go
Pat: What are they doing?
Amber: They're coming.
Reece: We gotta go.
Sam: Then we die.
Reece: The longer we wait, the surer that is.
Amber: Is that a pep talk? You stab him with the shiv and get ready to run.
As the band hears the white supremacists approaching, they make a plan to attack them as they open the door. This might just be their best chance at getting out of this sick situation alive.
It Won't End Well
Sam: Where are the police?
Darcy Banker: They've come and gone, got a little complicated. Gentlemen, you're trapped. Things have gone south. It won't end well.
Sam and the rest of the band members think that the police will soon be there to make things right. Darcy, however, has bad news about that plan, and some intentions with the band members of his own.
We're Not Keeping You
Reece: You can't keep us here. You gotta let us go.
Daniel: We're not keeping you. Your just staying.
Reece and Daniel have different ideas about what is happening in that green room. While Reece feels they are being held against their will, Daniel (kind of) explains that they are not.
Music is Shared Live
Punk Rocker: Okay, I'm with The Ain't Rights from Washington, DC. You guys are hard to find. Why no social media presence?
Pat: Music is shared live. It's time and aggression. You gotta be there.
Punk Rocker: Sorry, guys, we gotta clear out. Follow me.
Pat: And then it's over.
A punk rocker asks for some information about the band including why they are so low key on the Internet. As Pat explains, they don't make music for social media, they make it for the experience in person.
I Can't Die Here
Pat: I can't die here.
Amber: So don't.
Pat comments about not wanting to die in some backwoods Oregon bar at the hands of white supremacists. Amber urges him to get off his butt and do something to prevent that.
