Suicide Squad Movie Quotes

Suicide Squad movie quotes follow the action when a group of imprisoned supervillains are tasked with saving the world. The film, based on the comics by John Ostrander, was written and directed by David Ayer. Showing in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D, Suicide Squad opened in theaters in the United States on August 5, 2016.

In Suicide Squad, a secret government agency is seeking ways to save the world from a powerful and unknown threat. Amanda Waller (Voila Davis) pitches an idea to gather a task force of imprisoned supervillians who would take on special black opps missions. While letting the bad guys out of prison and asking them to save the world might not be the most conventional idea, she gets approval and gathers a team.

With a team of assassin Floyd Lawton/Deadshot (Will Smith), psychopath The Joker (Jared Leto), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), assassin Boomerang (Jai Courtney), flame summoner El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), reptilian-human Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and military team leader Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), among others, they all must work together to complete dangerous missions. And while the supervillains are promised clemency if they succeed, getting bad guys to act as good guys and save the world is easier said than done.

Suicide Squad was just one of several highly anticipated summer 2016 movies along with Tallulah, Nerve, Bad Moms and Jason Bourne.  

Dexter Tolliver: Gentleman, ladies, what if Superman had decided to fly down, rip off the roof of the White House, and grab the president right out of the Oval Office. Who would've stopped him?
Amanda Waller: I want to build a team of some very bad people who I think can do some good. 

In a meeting of a secret government agency, Amanda Waller presents her plan to use imprisoned supervillans to save the world. She thinks they can help them with black opps missions, despite being locked up for previous crimes.

Harley Quinn: What was that? I should kill everyone and escape? Sorry, it's the voices. Ahaha, I'm kidding! That's not what they really said.

Harley Quinn has a moment of what can only be described as insanity when she talks about killing everyone and escaping. Lucky for everyone, the voices in her head really didn't say that, though they clearly are saying something.
 

Harley Quinn: Are you the devil?
Amanda Waller: All you need to know is, you work for me.

Harley Quinn isn't quite sure just who Amanda Waller is, so like any normal person would do, she asks Amanda if she's the devil. While Amanda doesn't answer specifically, she does provide Harley with some very important information.

Harley Quinn: Whatcha having?
Killer Croc: Beer
Katana: Whiskey
Floyd Lawton: What am I, twelve?
Harley Quinn: How about you, hot stuff?
El Diablo: Water
Harley Quinn: That's a good idea, honey.

The Suicide Squad members meet in a bar where Harley Quinn is preparing drinks. While most are after alcohol, Harley praises El Diablo's choice of water.

Floyd Lawton: Stay evil, doll face.

Usually when someone would say, "stay evil, doll face" it might not be taken as a compliment. But when Floyd says it to Harley Quinn, he most certainly means it with love.

Floyd Lawton: Whatcha gonna do?
El Diablo: You wanna see something? You wanna see something?!
Floyd Lawton: Yeah! ... I was trying to get you there. No hard feelings, right? We good?

Floyd Lawton gets El Diablo all worked up, even to the point where the flame summoner shoots fire out of his hands. While this was Floyd's intention, there might be some hard feelings between the two after all.

Floyd Lawton: I don't know what they told you, but I'm a hit man. I don't save people!

In a moment of complete self awareness, Floyd Lawton remarks that he's not exactly someone you'd pick of when you think of a hero. He's a hit man but this time, he's willing to put his skills to use for good.

Amanda Waller: It's taken some work but I finally have them, the worst of the worst.
Seals' Admiral Burns: Where?
Amanda Waller: Let's just say I put them in a hole and threw away the hole. 
Seals' Admiral Burns: There's rumors, Amanda, that some of them have abilities.
Amanda Waller: Oh, yeah, I have seen things. Maybe Superman was some kind of beacon for them to creep back from the shadows.  I want to assemble a task force of the most dangerous people on the planet, who I think can do some good.
Seals' Admiral Burns: They're bad guys.
Amanda Waller: Exactly and if anything goes wrong, we blame them. We have built in deniability. 
Seals' Admiral Burns: What makes you think you can control them?
Amanda Waller: Because getting people to act against their own self interest is what I do for a living.

In pitching her idea to military officials, Amanda Waller explains how it's nearly fool proof. If the task force succeeds, awesome, but if not, the government can blame them and still look innocent.

Floyd Lawton: So that's it, huh? We're the patsies. We're some kind of suicide squad. Let's go save the world!

Floyd Lawton knows that he and his team are not typical superheroes, or any kind of heroes, but they're tasked with saving the world either way. He also knows that if things go wrong, the government sure isn't going to back them up.

Rick Flag: This is the deal. You're going somewhere very bad. You disobey me, you die. You try to escape and you die. You irritate or vex me...
Harley Quinn: I'm known for being quite vexing. I'm just forewarning you.
Rick Flag: You die.

Suicide Squad field leader Rick Flag makes sure everyone on his team knows the rules and expectations. He's not putting up with any nonsense form anyone, Harley Quinn included.
