The Intern Movie Quotes
The Intern movie quotes follows the story of one senior citizen who takes an internship with a young, growing company led by an inexperienced founder. The comedy was written and directed by Nancy Meyers and opened in theaters on September 25, 2015.

In The Intern, Ben Whittaker (Robert De Niro) is having troubles filling his days now that he's retired so he applies for a senior internship program at an up and coming e-commerce fashion company. Reporting to company founder Jules Oston (Anne Hathaway), both find some humor in having a 70-year-old interning for a 30-something CEO. But despite the age gap, which also exists with the other employees (including Adam DeVine, Zack Pearlman and Andrew Rannells), Ben seems to be fitting in quite well.

So when Jules is told that she is being replaced by a seasoned CEO who will run the company she started, she leans on Ben for support. Before long, they've developed a working relationship that will change both of their lives for a long time to come.

The Intern opens alongside other great films such as Hotel Transylvania 2, Everest, Black Mass, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.

At Least I'll Stand Out
Ben: Hi, Jules, I'm Ben, your new intern.
Jules: I'm glad you also see the humor in this.
Ben: Be hard not to
Jules: Don't feel like you have to dress up.
Ben: I'm comfortable in a suit if it's okay.
Jules: Old school
Ben: At least I'll stand out.
Jules: I don't think you'll need a suit to do that.
Ben: Want the door open or closed?
Jules: Doesn't matter... Open actually... You'll get used to me.
Ben: I look forward to it.

Ben introduces himself to his new boss, company founder Jules Ostin. Considering he is about 40 years her senior, this is awkward, but also pretty funny, all in one.
There's a Hole in My Life
Ben: Retirement is an ongoing, relentless effort in creativity. You can try yoga, like to cook, bought some plants, took classes in Mandarin. Believe me, I've tried everything. I just know there's a hole in my life and I need to fill it... soon.

In a voiceover, Ben explains why he is coming out of retirement to start at the bottom of the corporate ladder as an intern. Quite simply, he is bored out of his mind.
A Seasoned CEO
Cameron: Our investors just think that a seasoned CEO could take some things off your plate.
Jules: I did not see that coming.
...
Ben: She was trying to do right by everybody, the company, the family, the pressure was unbelievable.

Jules receives some tough news, that the investors want an experienced CEO to take over her duties. While it's hard to hear, perhaps a little less pressure on her will be good for everyone, personally and professionally.
Everybody Loves Him
Jules: The intern sure keeps busy.
Cameron: Mr. Congeniality! Everybody loves him!
...
Jason: Here she comes! Hey, Beck! What's up? You look really nice... How long can a woman be mad at you for?
Ben: I assume you talked to her, apologized.
Jason: I emailed her, subject line: I'm sorry with like a ton of Os so it's like, 'I'm soooorry' with a sad emoticon where it's crying.

Unexpectedly, Ben seems to be getting along pretty well with the much younger staff, including giving one young man some advice on how to properly treat a lady. Clearly some things have changed since he was dating.
This is What Cool Is
Jules: Look and learn, boys, because this is what cool is. How in one generation have men gone from guys like Jack Nicholson and Harrison Ford to...?
Ben: Oh boy

With a few drinks in her, Jules comments on how men have lost something in one generation of evolution. Considering she is talking about men right in front of them, it gets awkward fast.
Remember Who Did That
Ben: You started this business all by yourself a year and a half ago and now you have a staff of 220 people. Remember who did that.
...
Jules: The truth is, something about you makes me feel calm, more centered or something. I could use that, obviously.

Ben and Jules find themselves connecting with one another on an unexpected level. Something about their chemistry as colleagues and friends just seems to work.
The House Masseuse
Fiona: I'm Fiona, the house masseuse. Love that there's another oldie but goodie here... How's that, Ben?
Ben: Oh, hmm, oh boy
Davis: Here you go... You're not as old as I thought you were.

When the older woman house masseuse stops by to give Ben some rubbing, he finds a need to cover his lap with a newspaper. Thankfully, one of his younger colleagues is there to save him.
How Old Are You?
Ben: I'm Ben Whittaker. I've got an appointment with Miss Ostin.
Becky: I thought she was meeting with her new intern.
Ben: That's me.
Becky: How old are you?
Ben: 70, you?
Becky: I'm 24. I know I look older. It's the job. It ages you, which won't be great in your case... Sorry.

When arriving for the first day of his internship, Ben meets Becky, who is nothing short of four decades younger than himself. She kindly points this out, which doesn't go over too well.
